Gig on Saturday night in Lower Deck in Dublin supporting the Civilians

Ciara Buckley from The Civilians, is going to India to work with street kids as part of the Hope Foundation, est. in 1999 to help the disadvantaged.
All the covers on the door to the Hope Foundation.
Donations go directly to projects working with children and their families, eg. Providing vaccinations and antenatal care to the poorest people and providing safe and caring homes for abandoned children. So please come along and support the great cause.

We’re happy to announce that we’ve just been added to the bill for the ‘Finbar Hoban Presents’ gig in Bar Ritz in Castlebar tomorrow night. We’ll be joining ‘The Cast of Cheers’ & ‘Enemies’.

It is with regret that Mia Sparrow have pulled out of the IMRO Showcase gig in the Academy tomorrow night.

we each contacted IMRO (as individual members) on Wednesday this week, making our feelings clear about the blogging license issue, expressing our concerns and requesting clarification on it, but none of us have received a reply as yet.

Although we were happy to play tomorrow’s gig knowing that there would be an imro/bloggers meeting on Wednesday, we feel that with the headline band pulling out and with the general call for ‘band solidarity’ it would now be wrong to perform.

We apologise to anyone who intended to come to see us and to IMRO for any inconvenience caused and i hope you understand our position. we also hope that this issue gets solved as soon as possible.

We’ve been asked back to play in the Best of IMRO Showcase gig next Saturday 1st May in the Academy in Dublin.

We traveled to Waterford last Sunday to shoot a video for Cute Shona, made by Amy and Ken for the Art Beat festival. Fun day all round! We had the easy part, but their friend Trish had to shake it like a polaroid picture all day despite being sleep deprived. Check out more photos on our facebook page..
